Final Project
As I move into the final stages of my game development project, the focus is now on bringing everything together. This part of the project is crucial, as it involves integrating art assets, refining mechanics, and ensuring that every element works cohesively to complete the game. It's not just about polishing the gameplay; it's about ensuring that the visual elements enhance the overall experience, creating an engaging and immersive environment for players.

Reflection
Looking back on the entire game development experience, it’s clear that this project was extremely new to me and came with its fair share of challenges. From learning the basics of Unity and coding to working through the complexities of art asset integration, every step felt like stepping into uncharted territory. The process was undeniably tiring, especially considering the steep learning curve and the fact that I was juggling this project alongside a full semester of other coursework.
One of the key lessons I learned throughout this journey was the importance of time management. Reflecting on my progress, I do regret not managing my time better, as I feel this could have allowed me to develop more levels and create a more refined game. The semester was heavy in terms of workload, and at times, I found myself struggling to keep up. However, had I been more organized and allocated my time more efficiently, I could have pushed the project further, potentially creating a richer and more polished game.
Despite these challenges, the overall experience has been incredibly interesting and rewarding. The hands-on nature of game development allowed me to develop new skills, problem-solve creatively, and gain insights into what goes into bringing a game from concept to completion. Even though it was tough, I’m proud of how far I’ve come and the knowledge I’ve gained along the way. This project has sparked a deeper interest in game development, and I’m excited to carry these lessons forward into future projects.
